Helping Our Neighborhood, Especially Saving The Youth
Christ-Centered Mentorship for Lincoln’s Youth
The Honesty Project helps underserved youth build faith, character, accountability, and a stronger future through mentorship, community service, social events, and life-changing experiences.
Led by founder Clay Anders, the Honesty Project meets young people where they are—and walks with them toward something better.
The Honesty Project exists to guide young people toward better choices, stronger faith, and meaningful purpose.
Through consistent mentorship, biblical teaching, community service, and positive experiences, we create opportunities for youth to grow, give back, and see a future beyond the limits they may have known.
This work is deeply personal. Clay Anders knows what it means to be a troubled youth, to face consequences, and to rebuild a life through faith. Today, he uses that experience to reach young people in a way that is honest, relatable, and real.
// IRON SHARPENS IRON
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
— Proverbs 27:17
Iron Sharpens Iron is the Honesty Project’s flagship youth mentorship program, helping 12 students each school year grow in faith, character, accountability, and service.
Through twice-weekly meetings, community service, and Christ-centered guidance, participants build stronger relationships, make better choices, and earn the opportunity to experience life-changing summer trips beyond their everyday environment.
// IMPACT
What Support Makes Possible
In May 2026, the Honesty Project took eight youth and three volunteers on a cross-country RV trip through Nebraska, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado.
Along the way, they visited Lake McConaughy, the Grand Canyon, Moab, Elitch Gardens, and more. Each day, the group read from the Gospel of John, spent time together, and experienced places many of them had never seen before.
For the youth in Iron Sharpens Iron, this trip was the result of months of commitment, service, and growth. It was also a reminder that when a community invests in young people, the impact can reach far beyond a single event.
Creating Safe, Positive Spaces for the Youth
// SOCIAL EVENTS
The Honesty Project also hosts social events that give youth a place to connect, have fun, build relationships, and experience positive community.
These events create opportunities for Clay and the Honesty Project team to stay connected with young people beyond formal programming. Whether through conversation, encouragement, correction, prayer, or simply showing up consistently, the goal is the same: to help youth feel seen, supported, and challenged to make better choices.
For many young people, consistency matters. The Honesty Project shows up again and again—at events, in neighborhoods, online, and in real life.

Your Support Helps Us Show Up
The Honesty Project is built on faith, service, consistency, and community. With your support, we can reach more youth, create more opportunities, and continue helping young people build lives rooted in Christ.
Clay is already in the community. He is already building relationships, mentoring youth, organizing trips, leading conversations, and showing up when young people need direction. Your donation helps the Honesty Project expand that work.
Every gift supports youth in Lincoln through mentorship, meals, transportation, events, supplies, community service projects, and life-changing trips. Donations go directly to these projects and programs; no donated funds are used for staff salaries or administrative expenses.
When you give, you are not just funding a program. You are helping create structure, accountability, faith, and opportunity for young people who need people in their corner.
